LIST

#Buyblackmizzou meet-up

Thanks to everyone who made our first virtual series - in collaboration with the University of Missouri Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business - a success. For three weeks this was open to the general public and students in the college of business got graduation credit for attending. This is the first in many integrated ways we'll work to uplift the entrepreneurs and alumni.

Submit A Black-Owned Business

It can be yours or one you know of. Either way, we'll take it. Below are details about the business/business owner.

In 2014, #NOIRMIZZOU (which means ‘Black Mizzou’ in French) was created by Black Mizzou alumni to give the Black community the premium, one-of-a-kind experiences we deserved at the university that invented Homecoming in 1911. It is now a highly anticipated tradition.

We recognized then that if we don’t own the experience for our community then we risk inconsistency, being a low priority, and getting spaces that will tolerate us vs. being custom made with us in mind. Since then, we’ve evolved to a weekend of events that sells out annually and honors black excellence at the root.

In keeping with our focus on entrepreneurship, uplifting the priceless Black community at Mizzou and celebrating what we collectively own and create, we’re encouraging everyone to #BuyBlackMizzou.
